In the heart of the Eifel we welcome our guests from all over the world.

The Hotel Schlossblick is located in the immediate vicinity of the castle and castle pond in the small Eifel town of Blankenheim. Since 1955 we welcome our guests from near and far, who are looking for a few days rest, peace and new impressions in the beautiful nature of the Northern Eifel.

Since January 2007 we are “EIFEL Gastgeber” to show our solidarity with the Eifel and have committed ourselves to use the high quality products of the EIFEL brand in our hotel.

By our qualification as hosts “Wanderbares Deutschland” and “Bett und Bike” operation of the ADFC, we express a warm welcome to hikers and cyclists.

We offer you a hotel parking lot, garage, drying room as well as a locked bicycle shelter.

There are several restaurants within walking distance, offering a wide range of food and drinks.

Take the plunge into the refreshing water, which is good for you, because water gives you strength and energy. Whether directly in the morning or at the end of an eventful day, here you can relax and find new energy.

Our indoor pool offers even more swimming fun, thanks to less chlorine in the pool water! You can expect an excellent bathing quality and more bathing fun. For the sake of your health!

The trademark for hospitality for generations

For Werner and Violet Poensgen in 1952, the pioneering vision for the foundation of the now 50-year-old restaurant was: Blankenheim. He the Eifeler from Nettersheim and she, the Englishwoman – loved this little castle town “den Flecken” and so in 1954 they bought the Schlemmer farmhouse “Am Nonnenbacher Weg” and an adjacent plot of land. The view to the castle is unique and so the name “Schlossblick” was the correct naming for their house.

From the foundation until today

1968

  • Extension to a hotel with wellness area
  • Expansion to today’s complex

1977

  • Violet and Werner Poensgen pass on the hotel to their daughter Ilka Mercier
  • Opening of further guest rooms
  • Opening of the breakfast room in the annex

1996

  • Gilberte Mercier, daughter of Ilka Mercier, takes over the management of the hotel.

2013

  • complete modernisation of 15 guest rooms

2018

  • Gilberte Mercier, supported by her husband Michael, who is also responsible for the modernisation of the guest rooms and the entire hotel, takes over the entire management.
